I was admiring my finished bowls today, and decided to attempt drawing a bowl of fruit. As I drew it, I realized that it was a great subject to attempt some shading to give it depth and a light source. The drawing only moderately shows the shading compared with real-life, but it was a fun first attempt at adding depth to my drawings.
I'm not exactly sure what fruit bowls are supposed to look like in the fancy paintings, but it seems to be a popular choice of subject for entry-level artists. Maybe I'll arrange a fruit bowl in one of my hand-made bowls and draw that in the future.
