I love sea monsters, and the octopus is one of the best sea monsters in the world. It has eight arms, camouflage capability, and squirts ink! I once got into an argument about whether or not an octopus qualified as a sea monster, and clearly I won that argument. Additionally, octopuses are quite smart and perform a lot of erratic behaviors. They have suckers on their legs, and those suckers have remarkable abilities as well.
Basically, octopuses are one of my top 5 animals, and I finally decided to draw one with acrylics.
