Wild Crows

colored pencil drawing of a crow carrying a gift on a mult-colored background for some reason?

The crow is such an interesting, and allegedly intelligent, animals; however, I am not a fan. Every year, right around now, I end up having to alter my running routes after having crows chase and dive-bomb me while I am merely running down the sidewalk. Some have told me that you can feed them and they will start to bring you presents instead of attacking you, but I would prefer to keep my interactions with them to a minimum.

There are other birds that attack (I'm looking at you Mr. Red-Winged Blackbird), which leads us to the worst part about crows: their "singing" is probably the worst in the business. Camping is one of my favorite weekend activities in the summer, and waking up to some birds singing is a treat, but waking up to crows making the worst noises I have ever heard puts a damper on an otherwise perfect trip.

This evening, I decided to make peace with crows, learn how to draw them, and then turn it into the subject of today's creation. I decided that the ideal crow will be bearing a gift instead of attacking, so it has an orange ribbon for some reason. I then decided a multi-colored background would be appropriate for some reason. There you have it - I am not at peace with crows (until the next time one flies towards the back of my head).
